Effective August 29, 2026
HustleTally is published by Certainty Signal LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the HustleTally iOS app collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers the app only.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with data brokers. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Account identifiers. You sign in with Apple. We receive a unique user identifier and an email address. If you choose "Hide My Email", Apple gives us a private relay address instead of your real one and we never see the real one. If you choose to share a name, we receive it. We do not ask for a password — Apple handles authentication.
The financial information you enter. Everything you record in the app: organizations and side hustles, ownership relationships and percentages, vendors, expenses and their line items, amounts, billing periods, allocations, tags, notes, and revenue entries including gross amounts and platform fees. This is the content of the app. It is stored under your account identifier and is readable only by you.
Subscription status. If you subscribe, we receive from RevenueCat whether your subscription is active, which product it is, and when it renews or expires. We never receive your payment details. Your card, billing address and Apple Account details go to Apple and never reach us.
Crash diagnostics. If the app crashes, we receive a crash report through Firebase Crashlytics: the stack trace, device model, operating system version, and an installation identifier. It tells us what broke. It does not contain the financial information you entered.
Device attestation. We use Apple's App Attest through Firebase App Check to confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of HustleTally rather than an automated script. This produces a device token. It is not an advertising identifier and cannot be used to track you.
Server logs. Our API records standard request information — timestamp, endpoint, response status, and your account identifier — so we can diagnose failures. These are retained for a short period and then deleted.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, or browsing activity, and HustleTally contains no advertising or third-party tracking software.
Only to run the app: to sign you in, to store and show you your own data, to apply the correct subscription limits, and to fix crashes. There is no secondary use.
We use a small number of service providers, each processing data only to deliver the app:
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Every request to our servers is authenticated against your signed-in identity, and our database rules permit an account to read only its own data. Writes are validated server-side rather than trusted from the app.
Your data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account it is deleted — see below. Crash reports and server logs are retained on a short rolling window and expire automatically.
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time: Settings → Delete Account.
This is immediate and permanent. It deletes the financial information you entered, deletes your authentication record, and revokes HustleTally's Sign in with Apple token so the app no longer has any connection to your Apple Account. It cannot be undone, and we cannot recover the data afterwards.
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel that in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
HustleTally is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your information. The app gives you direct access to everything you have entered, and in-app deletion covers the deletion right. For anything else, email support@certaintysignal.com and we will respond.
HustleTally is not currently distributed in the European Union.
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
